The Paw Print Pussycat

The Paw Print Pussycat

Well crafters, whenever there is a project goof you just might be able to turn it into something wonderful.
Meet Heloise; I’ve nicknamed her “the card making cat.”

I’m innocent…

Today in the Make Shoppe she decided to play “step in the ink,” and then walked all over my card stock papers.  How did she know she was creating something so beautiful?
I realized I could make a greeting card out of this, and then I imagined what a cute Father’s Day card it could be!

To the Greatest “PAW” in the World…

From me (and Heloise) to you…

Bountiful Bougainvillea and The Green Tape

Bountiful Bougainvillea and The Green Tape

Hello green thumbs! Are you ready for summer? I have a wonderful and easy idea for you in your garden with bougainvillea.
These crawling climbers are so pretty and when trained to grow against a lattice they provide shade!
You will need: A sunny spot in your garden with a lattice or trellis for growing, bougainvillea plants, pretty pots, potting soil and green gardening tape.

Step #1-Simply plant your bougainvillea in its pot.

Step#2-Position the pot near the lattice wood

Step #3-Tie the plant to the wood with the gardening tape

(The point of using the green tape is because the tape stretches and moves along with the plant as it grows)
Don’t forget to water your plants about every other day!

Knowing is Growing!

Hello baking buddies! Today I’m sharing my Measuring Matryoshkas. These measuring dolls are so handy in the kitchen and come as a set of 6. Aren’t they so cute?

Zucchini Ribbon Salad

Zucchini Ribbon Salad

Try this really easy technique of making zucchini curls! You’ll need a few zucchini, sliced tomatoes and a vegetable peeler. Start by peeling a small amount from the center of the zucchini just to expose the inside a bit. Next, peel a strip from the zucchini starting from just above the exposed middle and peeling all the way to the end. The peels will have a natural curl to them-just roll them up and place them in your serving dish to create the rolled ribbon effect! Finally add your tomatoes and dressing if desired. You can also try this with yellow squash.

Cork Stationary

Cork Stationary

Look how easy it is to design your own stationary or greeting cards with just a few items! Today I gathered some card stock, envelopes, ink and few old corks to make my own personalized stationary in just minutes! Take the cork, dab it in the ink, press firmly on your paper and lift gently. A computer and printer may be helpful for printwork or you could use letter stamps.
This is a wonderful project for crafters, kids and the whole family!
