Exciting News!

Hey friends! Just a quick announcement about the Make Shoppe on Etsy. Come join me to see what crafts and hand-made goods I’m offering.  If you’ve been wanting to sell your own hand-crafted merchandise, I strongly encourage you to get out there and open an Etsy store. It’s super easy and took minimal effort to get started. Oh, and browse their apps…lots of cool stuff there!

A Thankful Thursday…

A Thankful Thursday…

Hello friends! Just a short read not about food, crafts, gardening or getting into trouble with Maple! But just a sincere and warm THANKS to all the bloggers that have taken the time to like, follow and stop by the Make Shoppe.  The Make Shoppe blog started about 3 months ago and since then has greatly expanded, been supported by kind words and has connected with really great people. I wish for all of us to continue to grow together in sharing our passions and dreams…

So, this smile is for you!

Meet Maple

Meet Maple

Hi Friends,

As you know, I’m quite busy in my Make Shoppe cooking, baking, crafting, and sharing projects with you. Doing all this takes time and lots of patience and little ol’ me can’t possibly do it all alone. So, say hello to some of my Make Shoppe helpers!

As you will see, some are more helpful than others…

MAPLE THE MOOSE

Meet Maple! She’s a dear friend and loves to help out but she is really clumsy. Whenever there’s a mess in the Make Shoppe we’re always saying… “THERE’S A MOOSE ON THE LOOSE!”   Of course she’ll always claim her innocence…

Hi, I’m Maple. Also known as “That Darn Moose.” And whenever there is a disaster somewhere in The Make Shoppe…I’m always to blame! What gives…?

Tutu knows the 20/20/20!

Think of Tutu as a mother (except she’s blue) that always gives great advice because she cares. Today, we’re taking good care of our eyes since they are the main reason you are reading this now!
The 20/20/20 rule is simple: When you are on the computer, every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away (at an object), for 20 seconds.

This exercise is very important because it reduces the stress on your eyes and is best for all types of media use.

Bountiful Bougainvillea and The Green Tape

Bountiful Bougainvillea and The Green Tape

Hello green thumbs! Are you ready for summer? I have a wonderful and easy idea for you in your garden with bougainvillea.
These crawling climbers are so pretty and when trained to grow against a lattice they provide shade!
You will need: A sunny spot in your garden with a lattice or trellis for growing, bougainvillea plants, pretty pots, potting soil and green gardening tape.

Step #1-Simply plant your bougainvillea in its pot.

Step#2-Position the pot near the lattice wood

Step #3-Tie the plant to the wood with the gardening tape

(The point of using the green tape is because the tape stretches and moves along with the plant as it grows)
Don’t forget to water your plants about every other day!

Hello baking buddies! Today I’m sharing my Measuring Matryoshkas. These measuring dolls are so handy in the kitchen and come as a set of 6. Aren’t they so cute?
