Thanksgiving Day in Portland

Thanksgiving Day in Portland

Hello and Happy Post Thanksgiving!

I finally managed to take sometime off from fairy making in the Make Shoppe to visit family in Portland, Or.

Dora, the explora, (cat in featured post) was a very gracious host and she kept us plenty entertained during our visit. She also will give us the tour of her home with plenty of unique and interesting finds. Hope everyone had a beautiful holiday with family and friends!

Meet, Merrina!

Meet, Merrina!

The Make Shoppe welcomes, Merrina!

Just like all the other fairies previous to her, Merrina is made up of tiny natural wooden parts for her body that have been sugared with aqua/blue glitter and accented with glittery blue pieces for her sleeves and wings. A blue coiled crown sits atop her head as she rules her little wonderland world! Her eyes are hand painted and cheeks dusted with a light rose tint. Her beautiful dress is an arrangement of aqua + blue poinsettia floral petals! If you like peacock colors…she’s a perfect fit! She’s very tiny (about 4.5″) but so colorful she would brighten up the area she’s placed in.

Merrina and all the other Make Shoppe Fairy Dolls are perfect as gifts and can be personalized!  Please send me a message or visit Etsy if you’re interested in placing and order. Other colors also available!

The Fairy Community Grows…

The Fairy Community Grows…

Hey Friends!

Meet “Sugar” who is the newest addition of the Make Shoppe Fairy community and just born a week ago! Along with Sugar comes her mother “Chloe.”  They are slightly different from the previous fairies, Fiona, Maui and Lahina. Both Chole and Sugar are intended to be limited edition “winterland fairies,” created just for the holidays. You can do so many things with these fairies like use them as beautiful decor for a holiday table or even as tree ornaments! Just place them anywhere in your home for an instant uplift! I plan to create as many fairies as I can…all with unique traits including a Christmas themed fairy with the traditional red poinsettia floral dress. Can’t wait to show her off!

Here are some great shots of Chloe and Sugar (also avail on Etsy)

Thanks for stopping by! Visit again soon to see the newer additions!

Cute Creatures!

Cute Creatures!

Hey all! I know I haven’t been posting as much and I do apologize to my followers for my absence. As I’ve mentioned before it gets a little busy for me around the upcoming holiday time for card orders ect…
So, today I’m breaking away from the madness to re-connect with all my fellow bloggers and wanted to share this really cute project.
( for all that agree it’s cute too)

Recently I went to the craft store and picked up some dollar rubber stamps and made these really cute gift tags! Check em’ out!

Don’t forget to visit me on Etsy!

Oh deer…is it too early to post about Christmas???

Oh deer…is it too early to post about Christmas???

Hey Friends,

Wow…I can’t believe I’m already seeing items and promotions for the holidays. That’s nuts, right? I mean, when is it exactly appropriate to start the marketing and advertising for the seasons to come? Isn’t there a Fall between Summer and Winter?
I’ve also received a few orders for some holiday cards this early on! My customers usually just leave it up to me to design their cards and today…well did just that! Today’s mood was torn between still trying to enjoy summer but also realizing that the holidays are among us. So, feeling quite goofy, I designed this “oh deer,” card as a reflection of my mood. A bit too rebellious you think?

Who votes rebellious?

Who votes cute and playful?

Thanks in advance for your help and feedback!

From me to you…

The Paw Print Pussycat

The Paw Print Pussycat

Well crafters, whenever there is a project goof you just might be able to turn it into something wonderful.
Meet Heloise; I’ve nicknamed her “the card making cat.”

I’m innocent…

Today in the Make Shoppe she decided to play “step in the ink,” and then walked all over my card stock papers.  How did she know she was creating something so beautiful?
I realized I could make a greeting card out of this, and then I imagined what a cute Father’s Day card it could be!

To the Greatest “PAW” in the World…

From me (and Heloise) to you…

P.S. Have a clever message? Tell Tutu what you would do!
